Edith is an alumna of Tufts University where she graduated with her Bachelors in Economics and English. She brings to the table years of experience in both quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis, with a strong passion and commitment to advancing the economic livelihood of women of color everywhere. A Louisiana native, she saw firsthand the environmental challenges and working conditions faced by local communities, particularly in rural areas, which inspired her burgeoning career as a feminist economist.
Before joining CLU, she worked as a Research Assistant at Rights and Resources Initiative, where she conducted desk research across 61 countries, analyzing data on forest ownership, and contributing to the fifth update of the Forest Tenure Database. She is also a founding member of Labor of Change, a youth-led organization focused on building tools for economic progress, where she works to empower young people to design and implement innovative economic solutions through public education, technology, policy advocacy, and art.
