CLU’s research supports and advances our campaigns by deepening our understanding of the problems our communities face — and identifying effective, winnable solutions.

At CLU, research and organizing work hand-in-hand. Starting with the lived experience of low-income communities of color, we use research to analyze structural problems and identify opportunities to create powerful and lasting change. As campaigns advance, frontline organizing feeds back into and refines the research agenda. This coalition-based approach enables member organizations and communities to learn together and use our knowledge to drive collective action.
