With over two decades of experience in the electrical field, Reneéleona Dozier has made an indelible impact. Her journey began as an apprentice with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 103, where she studied at the Joint Apprenticeship Training Center (JATC) and earned her Journeyman and Master’s Electrical License.
Currently serving as a Business Agent with IBEW Local 103 under the leadership and mentorship of Business Manager Lou Antonellis. Reneé is a tireless advocate for fair labor practices, workplace safety, and professional growth. Her commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment has made her a respected figure among her peers.
Reneé’s expertise extends beyond the tools and circuits. She also served as the first woman of color Wiring Inspector for the City of Brockton, ensuring compliance with electrical codes and regulations. Her meticulous eye and dedication to quality have contributed to safer buildings and infrastructure.
As District 2 Rep for the IBEW International Women’s Committee, Co-Chair of IBEW 103 Women’s Committee, IBEW 103’s Electrical Minority Caucus, and Trust Funds and JATC Trustee, Reneéleona focuses on creating a level playing field for female, black, and brown members. She champions diversity, mentors aspiring electricians, and advocates for equal opportunities.
Reneéleona’s impact reaches beyond her local union. She currently sits on the Massachusetts State Board of State Examiners of Electricians, where she helps shape industry standards and ensures the competence of electrical professionals.
Beyond her professional roles, Reneéleona actively engages with the community. Whether volunteering at local schools, shelters, food pantries, or participating in industry conferences, she and her union believe in giving back and inspiring the next generation.
Reneéleona’s ability to bridge gaps and build relationships has been instrumental in fostering collaboration between contractors, labor unions, and regulatory bodies. Her negotiation skills and strategic thinking make her an asset to the industry. Looking ahead, Reneéleona envisions a safer, more inclusive electrical industry.
