With a fresh pair of eyes from the neighborhoods of Boston and a savvy way of community organizing, Ms Ramos has hit her 22nd year fighting for justice in Greater Boston and beyond. She is a Black-Latina from Dorchester, who learned how to move through the political system in her own life and for her community.
The strength of her organizing has been focused on local power to deepen the leadership led by black and brown resident leaders and building relationships with allies that reflect and support building the strength and long-term agenda that centers communities of color and working-class neighborhoods.
She sits on the board and steering committee of Community Labor United, Transportation for Massachusetts, Homes for All Mass, and The Massachusetts Voter Table, and currently anchors the Statewide Climate Justice Organizing School.
Her work has led to the development of new formations, assembly organizing models and strengthened coalitions and strategies that allow space for strategic alignment of partners and key campaigns statewide.
