CLU joins 70+ organizations in decrying Boston Calling verdict

We joined more than 70 organizations to sign onto this advertisement which ran in the Boston Globe and Boston Herald. We will not stay silent in the wake of the recent verdict in the Boston Calling case that we believe will have a chilling effect on our democracy. It is through advocacy, organizing and good government that democracy is built. The decision threatens the vibrant and much needed advocacy and organizing in all our cities and throughout the state. We believe the job of every public official is to promote democracy and ensure every voice is heard.
