Eric SpencerResearch Fellow

    Eric Spencer initially came to Community Labor United as a Tisch summer fellow at Tufts University, with a commitment to advancing labor rights and community justice through research and policy development. In 2023, he began work as a full-time Research Fellow. His focus is on supporting CLU’s child care initiatives and the Care That Works coalition, and the larger vision of expanding equitable child care access and strengthening the voices and opportunities of child care workers. Most recently, he has been working with the research and organizing teams to support family, friend, and neighbor (FFN) child care providers through targeted research for statewide legislative reform. Previously, Eric worked with MassVOTE and California Common Cause, advancing voting rights and democracy reform legislation at the state and federal levels. He graduated from Tufts with a major in Political Science and a minor in Sociology.
